Insertion Valve technology is being introduced to Italy via a new strategic partnership between Advanced Valve Technologies (AVT) and Nova Siria & Idroambiente.

Nova Siria is now the official Italian distributor of AVT EZ Valves with Idroambiente taking on the role of our certified installer across the region.
Nova Siria and Idroambiente have rich and enviable histories working within the water industry in the European country and AVT is proud to be partnering with these experienced organizations.
Nova Siria’s CEO, Marco Ferrero said his organization and AVT forged their partnership via Nova Siria’s UK sister company, R2M. Both are part of the Hawle Group.
“We monitored the success R2M was having with the AVT EZ Valve and decided to import the technology into the Italian market. Unlike other types of products, in this case it was necessary to identify a partner who would take care of the installation service. Thus, considering the fruitful collaboration with the Idroambiente company already in place for some Nova Siria products and services, it was decided to extend the partnership also for the installation of in-line valves produced by AVT for the entire Italian market.”
Idroambiente’s Technical Director, Ing. Renato Lombardi added: “Idroambiente is proud to have been chosen by Nova Siria and AVT as an exclusive installation partner in the region.
With 30 years of experience in the sector, we were delighted to form this partnership and are confident that this solution will assist in managing our local water reserve. AVT’s Regional Account Director Jason Taylor spent time in Italy with the two companies delivering hands-on training and is delighted with the skills demonstrated by the teams now trained to install the AVT EZ Valve. “The installation teams of Idroambiente have years of experience within the water industry and it certainly showed during our training sessions. I have full confidence that the teams will soon become experts in all things EZ Valve but as our installation partners throughout the world know, we will remain on call to offer technical support and assistance whenever required” Jason said.
The AVT EZ Valve uses an integral isolation gate, which when operated after the slot has been milled into the pipe, allows the EM machine, which milled the slot, to be removed and the resilient wedge installed. This process means the valve can be installed on a live line while the water is flowing. The resilient wedge needs to be lowered just 2/3 of the way into the pipe to commission the installation meaning users have the choice of when to turn off their water.
