Greenway Bridge End Rehabilitation

BRIDGE, REHABILITATION, TYFO® SYSTEM
OVERVIEW

WIDOT required shear reinforcement for a bridge in Monroe, Wisconsin. The bridge has been in service for many years and required concrete repairs and fiber reinforcement to supplement the loss in reinforcement steel. The design done by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WIDOT) engineers called out for U-Wraps on the ends of the prestressed beams on the bottom of the bridge deck. Fyfe utilized Tyfo® SCH-41 unidirectional carbon-reinforced polymer for the job. A two layer design with longitudinal anchoring strips was utilized and installed by Fyfe certified applicator DSI.
