ScarGuard is a high-performance Abrasion Resistant Overcoat (ARO) engineered to prevent coating damage, gouging and impact-related failures during horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and other demanding trenchless pipeline construction projects.
Designed for use with FBE, liquid epoxy, shrink sleeve and tape coating systems, ScarGuard helps maintain coating integrity, reduce repair costs and support long-term corrosion protection. Comprised of fiberglass fabric and a pre-impregnated flexible resin that is water-activated and cures within minutes, ScarGuard provides robust mechanical protection for underlying pipeline coatings during installation and pullback.
